Okay, so here's the deal...

Anime Evolution is definately a GO!! Same dates, different Venue though. It seems that since SFU is renovating major classrooms that AE usually uses, and there's an orientation going on that same week, AE had to move. So, for weeks now we've been wondering what's going on, kind of sitting in a sort of convention 'limbo' if you will. Well, they've finally announced that the con will take place at UBC this year, so instead of a 15 minute drive to SFU from the hotel, we're facing a 40 ish minute skytrain ride, and a 15 minute-ish ride on the bus to UBC... But, it's worth it!! I've heard that UBC is like a small city in and of itself, so this should be interesting! I'm sure I'll get lost A LOT!!

Now, if the map on the website is correct, or rather my reading of it I suppose, it looks like the con will be taking place in the on campus hospital buildings... another oddity for sure lol. At the moment, we don't know whether the events will be indoor or outdoor moreso, but at least there are rumoured to be lots of stores and such, including food vendors!

I also found out Sunday Morning that I am a replacement for one of the singers in the Idol who unfortunately can't make it this year! I'm SO STOKED!! I've said before that if I managed to get in this year, it would be kind of a cop out of sorts, in that it's an after the fact thing, but I DON'T CARE!!!! lol!! I just REALLY want to perform, and have fun! This year, I'm going to perform what would have been my Day #3 song last year, on Day #1 of this year: Densetsu Seitan from the Sailor Moon Musicals. After that, I'm not sure. If I make it to Day #2, the theme day, I have to do a J-Rock song. I have one in mind, but it's a rock ballad, so we'll see what happens and if I'm allowed to or not. Of course, that's assuming I even MAKE IT to Day #2... Now, going a bit more into fantasy, assuming I make Day #3, I have a GUY SONG in mind!! We'll see what happens. I don't have any expectations. I just want to have fun this year and be able to perform for people again.

As of this moment, I still have the radio show, but for how long is another story. I guess they're feeling things out. If we can hold out until the Volunteer Drive in the fall, we may be able to keep Sundays going on the air. If not, well, then I don't really know what I'm going to do. Everything is kind of up in the air there...

Other than that, there hasn't been TOO much going on. I really miss my mom now that she went back to Ohio though. I know I'll see her again, but whenever I have to say goodbye to anyone I get so horribly upset and depressed for a few days. I'm sure it'll pass, but this bit of good news as above gave me a boost today.
